Early Excellence are delighted to be working in partnership with Sutton-in-Craven Community Primary School to offer an inspirational day of training for EYFS teachers and support staff to challenge and inform teaching, practice and provision in the EYFS.
Course description
Guiding children’s early mathematical development is a skilful process which we will examine in depth during this practical session. We will consider the importance of supporting children in developing mathematical thinking, rather than just learning facts and skills, which will ensure that mastery of the subject is achieved. We will discuss how to ensure that your provision promotes mathematical language and discussion opportunities and explore how we provide appropriate challenge through a well- planned environment, rich in possibilities. Delegates will leave this session with lots of practical ideas to improve their environments and inspire a deep level of learning.
